The Prophetic Sciences (al-ʿUlūm al-Nabawiyyah): Understanding the Muhammadan Inheritance

This course, taught by Shaykh Yāsīn al-Kurdī, takes students on a profound journey through al-ʿUlūm al-Nabawiyyah – The Prophetic Sciences, based on the celebrated work of Shaykh ʿAwn Muʿīn al-Quddūmī (Dar al-Muʿīn, Jordan).

The text serves as a structured gateway into the comprehensive Prophetic disciplines, offering a renewed framework for understanding the Muhammadan Inheritance — how knowledge (maʿrifah), love (maḥabbah), and following (ittibāʿ) of the Messenger of Allah ﷺ form the living continuation of Prophethood in this Ummah.

Students will explore the five foundational sciences that encompass the Prophetic reality:

• Sīrah – the life, days, and journey of the Prophet ﷺ

• Shamā’il – his noble characteristics and attributes

• Dalā’il – his miracles, signs, and proofs

• Faḍā’il – his virtues compared with those of other Prophets

• Khaṣā’iṣ – his unique distinctions and divine privileges

Through these interconnected disciplines, students will see how knowing the Prophet ﷺ leads to loving him, and love leads to following him — the essence of the Muhammadan inheritance (al-wirāthah al-Muḥammadiyyah).

The aim of this course is not merely academic; it is transformative — cultivating hearts illuminated by the Prophet’s example and lives that mirror his light.

Level: Foundational–Intermediate
This course is delivered entirely in the Arabic language, where the original text al-ʿUlūm al-Nabawiyyah is read, explained, and discussed in Arabic by Shaykh Yāsīn al-Kurdī. It serves as a bridge between introductory Islamic studies and deeper Prophetic scholarship.

By the end of the course, students will grasp the relationship between maʿrifah (knowledge), maḥabbah (love), and ittibāʿ (following) — as the path to renewing the Ummah’s connection with the Messenger of Allah ﷺ in our time.

العلوم النبوية: فهم الوراثة المحمدية

يأخذ هذا المقرر، الذي يُدرِّسه الشيخ ياسين الكردي، الطلاب في رحلةٍ عميقةٍ عبر كتاب العلوم النبوية، وهو من تأليف الشيخ عون معين القدومي حفظه الله (دار المعين – الأردن).

يُعدّ هذا الكتاب مدخلًا منهجيًّا لفهم العلوم النبوية في إطارٍ جامعٍ يربط بين المعرفة، والمحبة، والاتباع، مبيّنًا كيف أن هذه المعاني الثلاثة تُجسِّد الوراثة المحمدية في الأمة، وتُجدد الصلة برسول الله ﷺ علمًا وسلوكًا.

سيتناول الطلاب خلال المقرر العلوم الخمسة الأساسية التي تُجسِّد الحقيقة المحمدية، وهي:

السيرة – حياة النبي ﷺ وأيامه ولياليه ورحلته المباركة.

الشمائل – صفاته الخَلقية والخُلقية وسماته النورانية.

الدلائل – معجزاته وآياته وبراهينه النبوية.

الفضائل – خصاله ومزاياه مقارنةً بسائر الأنبياء عليهم السلام.

الخصائص – ما اختصّه الله به من تفضيلات وتشريعات خاصة.

ومن خلال دراسة هذه العلوم المتداخلة والمتكاملة، سيدرك الطلاب أن معرفة النبي ﷺ تورث محبته، ومحبته تورث اتباعه — وهي جوهر الوراثة المحمدية.

وليس هدف هذا المقرر أكاديميًا فحسب، بل هو تربويٌّ وروحيٌّ، إذ يهدف إلى تهذيب القلوب بأنوار السيرة حتى تقتدي بحبيبها ﷺ قولًا وعملًا وحالًا.

المستوى: تأسيسي – متوسط
يُقدَّم هذا المقرر باللغة العربية بالكامل، حيث يتم قراءة النص الأصلي العلوم النبوية وشرحه ومناقشته بالعربية على يد الشيخ ياسين الكردي، ويُعدّ هذا المقرر حلقة وصل بين الدراسات الإسلامية التمهيدية والدراسات النبوية المتقدمة.

وفي ختام هذا المقرر، سيفهم الطلاب العلاقة بين المعرفة والمحبة والاتباع — كطريقٍ لتجديد الصلة بين الأمة ورسولها الكريم ﷺ في عصرنا هذا.
